Banijay Entertainment & Banijay Live: building a powerhouse of the best content and talent

Our content arm, Banijay Entertainment, is the world’s leading independent producer and distributor of television programmes, with a multi-genre catalogue boasting over 189,000 hours of original standout programming (as of March 2024).

With a deep portfolio of IP rights, it produces both scripted and non-scripted content across all genres, including reality shows, entertainment, talk shows, game shows, factual entertainment, documentary, drama, animation and comedy.

Banijay Entertainment creates, develops, sells, produces and distributes content, through its global portfolio of 130+ production companies across 21 countries.

Survivor, Peaky Blinders, Big Brother, MasterChef, Black Mirror, LEGO Masters… are among our most well-known successes.

Guided by innovation and creativity, our objective is to attract the best talents and be at the heart of the entertainment ecosystem.

Recently, Content production & distribution business has expanded into live events with investments in two business: Balich Wonder Studio, the sector leader in iconic live events and The Independents, the leading global marketing and communications group for luxury and lifestyle brands.

With more than 160 shows produced during the first quarter of 2024, Balich Wonder Studio and The Independents together have been creating and delivering globally almost 2 shows or events per day over the first three months of 2024.

Integrating these new activities into the Content production & distribution business should offer multiple synergies due to the opportunity to capitalise on Banijay Entertainment’s expertise in content production and creativity and support Banijay Group’s ambition to become an integrated global entertainment leader.

Due to a largely unconsolidated market and a rapid growth with return of experiential activity, live events business benefits from a significant growth potential.
